Diamond sensors

Sensor selection guide

DIAMSENS offers a range of multi-sensor modules. Each sensor is characterized for the usage conditions corresponding to a particular application. Our first module is dedicated to dosing applications for pool care products. Other specialized modules for agriculture, animal husbandry, wastewater treatment, etc… are coming soon

Sensors for swimming pools

Why control pool water?

It is important to make sur that the concentration of disinfectant is high enough to prevent the growth of bacteria and microalgae, while maintaining the pH at a level that does not cause eye or skin irritation.

Limitations of conventional probes

End users are not accustomed to cleaning and recalibrating probes according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Very quickly the accuracy of the measurements will drift.

Conventional probes are relatively fragile (glass tube most often)

Conventional probes should be kept in a specific solution during the winter season.

Specific chlorine and/or bromine probes are generally unaffordable for an individual (a few hundred euros, or even more than a thousand euros). It is usually a measure of the redox potential that allows the chlorine concentration to be extrapolated, with highly fluctuating accuracy.

Sensor developments

Depending on your needs, we can study the feasibility of a new measurement.

Special combination of sensors

We can assemble a new combination of pre-qualified sensors on our boards.

Characterization of sensors in a new environment

Before using a sensor under new conditions, it must be ensured that its behaviour will not be disturbed by chemical compounds that are present only under these conditions. In the case of strong interferents, a measurement of this interferent and compensation of the initial measurement should be considered.

Support for integration into equipment

Mechanical Integration

If modifications need to be made to our generic enclosure, or if an additional part needs to be designed to facilitate the integration of our enclosure into your equipment, our application engineers can coordinate the actions of our mechanic partners to provide you with a “tailor-made” solution.

Software Integration

If you don’t have the available resources, our application engineers can take care of this task.
